Tim brings over 30 years of hands-on experience with Apple platforms, business IT operations, and cybersecurity strategy. He holds degrees from UW-Stout, UW-River Falls, Chippewa Valley Technical College, and North Hennepin Technical College and has contributed to nationally recognized cybersecurity publications. Tim is frequently invited to speak on topics including cybersecurity awareness, social engineering, and protecting Apple-based businesses.

Before founding The MacGuys+, Tim Nyberg served as Editor-in-Chief of Stoutonia, the University of Wisconsin–Stout student newspaper. In addition to leading editorial operations, Tim also served as Computer & Network Support Technician and Photo Editor, supporting the paper's technical and production workflows.

During this period, Stoutonia was among the early adopters of fully digital newspaper layout, transitioning production workflows using Apple Macintosh systems at a time when desktop publishing was still emerging. This experience combined journalism, technology infrastructure, and hands-on systems management — a foundation that continues to shape Tim's approach to technology leadership today.
