Struggling to read tiny serial numbers or fine print can be frustrating. Thankfully, Apple offers a handy solution with its Magnifier app. Originally part of the accessibility options, this feature became a standalone app in iOS 14.
To find the Magnifier app, navigate to the Utilities folder in your App Library by swiping left on the Home Screen. You can also open it by saying, "Hey Siri, open Magnifier." For quick access, add it to your Control Center by going to Settings > Control Center.
The Magnifier app uses your camera as a zoomed viewfinder. Adjust the zoom level with the slider, and tap the flashlight icon for extra illumination. Additional controls can be accessed by tapping the gear icon. To freeze the image, tap the round shutter button (tap it again to unfreeze). Double-tap the viewfinder to hide or show the controls.
